MY LIFE STORY AS TIE DYE ARTIST

When I entered college life, I face a lot of struggles in my life. It is not easy to integrate work, study and business. When I was a 1st year student in College, I worked at MadC to support myself since my parents didn’t support me in my studies I worked hard just to survive. My working hours will reach up to 4am to 10pm included the overtime. When I got home from work, I still do have assignments to finish and sometimes when I'm not sleepy yet, I make tiedye shirts.

During my working “era”, we had different parts to be assigned. Sometimes I am at packaging area but sometimes I am assiged in lifting bags full of bananas. And it lasted for 6 months since it is a contract. It is hard but it doesn’t mean I’ll give up even though I always come home having back pain or muscle pain.  I would rather have a muscle pain than not having money to support my needs in my studies.

At the time I started working I also started running my own business which is the tiedye shirts  it was not easy  for me at first. I doubted myself for doing such things that are impossible. I spent a lot of time and effort to learn the techniques. I watched from youtube and search in internet just to have knowledge in creating tiedye shirts. It took months or almost a year  for me to learned everything that I needed to learn in the world of tiedyes. I started using Jobos that cost for 5 pesos only and the clothes are from ukay-ukay for my practices. But now I am so proud of myself that I did not gave up. I can say that I have a big improvement on myself.  Before I can only finished 1 shirt a day but now I can make 3 or more shirt in one day.  Before I only used Jobos but now I can afford to buy reactive dyes and other materials that can be used in making tiedyes and I owned a printer for my stickers.

But sometimes I keep on asking myself if I can handle it all because I don’t have trust  for myself. But I still continued everything that I started. And to those people that pushes me and who believe in me that I can do it, Thankyou. Each of you is part of my success and for where I am today. And to those people who keep on buying my products, Thankyou. And most especially our almighty God, for giving me strength and courage to continue everything.  I am nothing without God and with God I can do everything. Nothing is impossible if you put your 100% trust into God. So I will end up it with my own philosophy "Invest your time with failure and the interest is success."
